For many years, clay pipe maker and expert Arne Åkerhagen has visited museums throughout Sweden, studying and dating the clay pipes in their collections.
His assistance in the dating of objects found over the years in the waters around Sweden has been sought by many private people, scuba divers and local history associations.
His work has resulted in a catalogue of approximately 1,000 pages presenting virtually all the clay pipes found in Sweden in text and pictures.
