The Tobacco & Match Museum is a museum of industrial and cultural history with extensive collections detailing the history of Swedish tobacco and matches.

How to get here

The museum are located at Gubbhyllan, Skansen, at Djurgården in Stockholm. There are several ways to get here: by buss, ferry or bike. Find out more under Getting here.

At the Museum

Do not miss our permanent exhibitions of the tobacco and match history in Sweden. Enjoy designs from the past centuries - boxes, boxes, labels, pipes and lighters.
Craftmanship Days, tobacco planting and harvesting days, see the calendar.

Museum shop

You´ll find cigar-cutters, pipes, snuffboxes, matches, lighters, and much more besides in our gift shop. We make both clay pipes and the historic tobacco brand Puck and Ettan in 250g packs, in our own factory, and sell them exclusively here.

We also sell books and a CD-ROM about the history of tobacco and matches.

The restaurant

 Here you can eat and good coffee! Gubbhyllan seems to good and natural foods. The meeting with the guest, and raw material producers, it is important for Gubbhyllan.

Gubbhyllans philosophy is natural and healthy, which means combining traditional methods and modern technology to take care of seasonal ingredients in the best way.
